What changed for Warlocks in Forever

• Banes: Curse of Agony and Curse of Doom are renamed Bane of Agony and Bane of Doom. One Bane per Warlock per target, and you can keep a utility curse up at the same time.
• Damage-over-time effects can critically strike. Pets scale with your stats. Drain Soul's shard chance grows with each tick until it is guaranteed.
• Firestone and Spellstone are weapon imbues. Bane of Havoc (21 points) marks a target to take 15% of damage dealt to others for five minutes.
• Affliction: Wrack at 31 points, Drain Hope increases Shadow damage from your other DoTs, Soul Link moved earlier in Demonology for Siphon Life hybrids.
• Demonology: Demonic Pact (31) keeps your Demonic Sacrifice bonus while another demon is out. Demonic Brand improves pet threat.
• Destruction: Incinerate (31) adds a Fire nuke, Shadow and Flame improves Conflagrate and Shadowburn, Rain of Fire gains crowd-control talents.

Specs and builds

Affliction to level and drain-tank, Demonology for durability, Destruction for raid burst with Incinerate.

Leveling 1–60

• Affliction with a Voidwalker. Corruption, Bane of Agony, Immolate, wand. Drain Life when low, Life Tap when full.
• DoTs crit now, so Corruption on everything is more valuable than it was in Classic.
• Troll Warlocks are new. Berserking lasts 15 seconds and Regeneration is 20% stronger.
• Soulstone a healer before every dungeon. Make healthstones for everyone.

Dungeon role

• Banish elementals and demons; Fear only when the pull is already going wrong. Bane of Havoc on the boss while you DoT adds.
• Imp with Blood Pact for the group's stamina, or Voidwalker on passive to Sacrifice for an emergency shield.
• Keep the Voidwalker's taunt off in groups. Nobody wants the blueberry tanking.

Raid prep for December 9

• Destruction with Incinerate for Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit. Spell power, hit and crit. Shadow Weaving from a Shadow Priest helps.
• Curse of the Elements and Curse of Recklessness are utility curses now and do not compete with your Bane.
• Onyxia hates Warlocks for a reason: summons, healthstones and Soulstones before the pull.

Professions

Tailoring and Enchanting from level 1. You will wear your own cloth until the raids.
