Skyborne in WoW: Forever
Forever's new race. At character creation you choose the Alliance-aligned High Order or the Horde-aligned Windshapers, then start on Zephras Isle, a floating level 1–12 island shaped by wind spirits. Requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher.
Classes
Both factions can be Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid. High Order Skyborne (Alliance) add Mage; Windshaper Skyborne (Horde) add Shaman. No Paladins, Priests or Warlocks.
Racials in Forever
Every race in Forever has two active and two passive racials, and most were retuned from Classic. Here is what is confirmed for Skyborne.
| Racial | Effect |
|---|---|
| Walk on Air | Glide through the air. 90-second cooldown (reduced from 2 minutes). |
| Wind Blessed | Increases Haste by 2% (adjusted down from 3% in beta). |
| Elemental Insight | Increases damage dealt to Elemental enemies by 5%. |
| Read Leyline (Alliance) | Castable while moving. Increases Mana and Health regeneration by 50% for 15 seconds; using it at a Ley Line grants Attuned for 1 hour, raising the bonus to 100%. Replaced by Innervate while active. |
| Skysight (Horde) | Castable while moving. Increases movement speed by 15% for 15 seconds; using it at an elemental convergence grants Charged for 1 hour, raising it to 30%. Charged persists through death and is removed on entering a raid. |
Best picks
- Mage (High Order). Haste, Read Leyline regeneration and a brand new race/class pairing. The Outfit's Skyborne Fire Mage is proof.
- Druid (either). Unique Skyborne forms plus Walk on Air for exploration.
- Shaman (Windshaper). Haste and Skysight movement on a totem class.
- Hunter (either). Haste is attack speed for ranged.
Pick your faction first: the Skyborne class list depends on it. Alliance Skyborne Mage and Horde Skyborne Shaman are the two combos that exist nowhere else in Forever.
